![]() The benefits of reciting inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun are great if it is used and recited correctly. But can be recited on any loss or every situation that puts you in trouble, stress, and pain. This shows that Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un is not limited to being recited at the death of a beloved one. Likewise, there are a good number of references available in the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) reciting inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun in stressful or painful situations. “Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you should be within towers of lofty construction.” (4:78) Allah SWT sends us the same message in the Holy Quran: Death is unavoidable, and everyone, rich or poor, intellectual or illiterate, will die. This has been undeniable since the beginning of time and will continue to be till the end of time. The universal reality is that everyone must leave this existence at some point. Allah and his beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) have guided us to recite certain verses and dua according to the situation to seek Allah’s help in misery or thank Him for His mercy in happiness. Wonderful virtues of Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un in the light of the Quran and Sunnah “إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّآ إِلَيْهِ رَٰجِعُونَ”Įvery word of the Quran and hadith is significant and holds significant benefits for human beings.
